Our Mission
It is the mission of the Eugenio María de Hostos Charter School to create a safe and nurturing community of learners where students earn the Seal of Biliteracy (English and Spanish), learn to advocate for social justice and are prepared to enjoy and access what the world has to offer.
Our Vision
If a child cannot learn the way we teach, then we will learn to teach the way the child can learn.
Nuestra Misión
Nuestra misión es crear una comunidad de aprendizaje segura, donde los estudiantes alcanzarán el Sello de Biletrados del Estado de Nueva York, aprenderán a abogar por la justicia social y estarán preparados para tener acceso y disfrutar todo lo que el mundo les ofrece.
Nuestra Visión
Si el niño no puede aprender con nuestro método de enseñanza, entonces debemos aprender a enseñar en la forma en que el niño pueda aprender.
PRIDE
Perseverance – I have put forth my best effort without being asked to do so.
Respect – I have worked cooperatively with others and respected their voices by listening and not speaking out of turn with no reminders or cues.
Integrity – I have consistently followed classroom norms without being reminded or cued.
Dedication – I have completed all my classwork and contributed to classroom discussions without prompting.
Excellence – I have been a role model for my peers and am proud of myself. I have set my own goals and reached them this week.
PRIDE
Perseverancia - He hecho mi mejor esfuerzo sin que me lo pidieran.
Respeto - He trabajado en cooperación con los demás y he respetado sus voces al escuchar y no hablar fuera de turno sin recordatorios ni pistas.
Integridad - Siempre he seguido las normas del salón sin que me lo recuerden ni me den pistas.
Dedicación - He completado todos mis trabajos y he contribuido a las discusiones en la clase sin que me lo pidan.
Excelencia - He sido un modelo a seguir para mis compañeros y estoy orgulloso de mí mismo. Me he fijado en mis propias metas y las he alcanzado esta semana.
