In addition, grades 1-5 uses Zearn, which is based upon the New York State modules. Zearn provides the opportunity for small group work as well as individualized digital lessons.

English Language Arts (ELA)

The program has supports for English Language Learners as well as supports on how to build social emotional learning skills. For grades 3-5 ELA instruction, teachers use the EL Education 2nd edition modules which teaches and assesses all of the ELA standards at each grade level. Students build important content knowledge through the use of authentic text related to science, social studies, or literature.

Social Studies

Social Studies grades K-5 instruction: teachers use Studies Weekly, which integrates social studies and language arts. This standards-based curriculum has printed weekly units as well as a digital component.

Teachers in grades K-5 science use a newly adopted curriculum called Science A-Z. This curriculum integrates both science and literacy. It also has a selection of Spanish text.
